Ecuador's annual inflation rate saw a decline to 1.05% in November 2025, down from October's peak of 1.24%, the highest recorded since June. Year-over-year, there were significant increases in several categories: alcoholic beverages and tobacco rose to 2.03% from 1.53% in October, transport increased to 1.38% from 1.13%, the restaurant and hotel sector saw growth to 1.62% from 1.57%, and furniture and household articles ticked up to 0.62% from 0.58%. Meanwhile, education expenses remained steady at 0.65%. Conversely, inflation decelerated for food and non-alcoholic beverages, which decreased to 1.80% from 1.99%, housing and utilities dropped to 1.51% from 3.33%, and healthcare costs decreased to 2.04% from 2.32%. Additionally, prices continued to decline in the clothing and footwear sector, falling to -5.00% from -4.42%, and communications prices dropped further to -1.15% from -0.86%. On a monthly scale, consumer prices declined by 0.44% in November, following a 0.40% increase in October.
